Cakes Designed by Amanda and Her Friends

The "Clint" Cake

Unfortunately, not a single picture can be found of this cake. But if you will imagine Clint's face as a cake that is exactly what it looked like. We carved the cake and used a glaze to seal the cake, which we covered in Buttercream and then painted the skin and facial features. Gabby, Tiona and I made this for the 2004 Hoe Down. And, we won.

The "Twister" Cake

This Twister Cake was an exact replica of the game we all grew up playing. We even had a working spinner. This cake was a beast to transport. It took up the entire back of my Expedition. Ashlyn, Jessica, Laura, and I were up all night baking the numerous sheet cakes it took to make this a life size Twister game. This cake was for the 2005 Hoe Down. And, we won.

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of all four of us with the cake.

And the night would not have been complete if we hadn't played the game on the cake.

Brittany and Clint's Groom Cake

What wedding is complete without a groom's cake and a little fiasco? When Brittany and I picked up her groom's cake, we were beyond disappointed in the product. Being the loving sister (and Queen) that I am, I called the company back and let them know that I was not satisfied with this "unacceptable" cake. Furthermore, I let them know that I would be coming back for a new blank cake, and to please have icing as well so I could do the cake myself.

I had absolutely no tools at the Church, so I began with limited resources while others frantically looked for the needed materials. Jessica came to my rescue and helped me decorate the cake. We finished with literally less than a minute before the rehearsal was to start.

Jessica and I with the final cake at the wedding.

What a team effort. Brittany and Lisa had made all of the Characters out of Candy Clay before the wedding. And Jessica made the fantastic pebble pathway. And I did whatever I could to make the bride to-be happy.
