Mother's Day Cake

Just experimenting with different flower tips.

Our Family Tree Cake

This cake was made for Father's Day, along with Nonie's and Destiny's Birthday. The Fathers are all wearing crown for being King for the day, and the Birthday Girls are wearing party hats to celebrate.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Chocolate covered Strawberries perfectly top off the strawberry swirl cheese cake.

Easter Cake

The cake had Easter Eggs hiding in the grass! Can you find them?

Fish Cupcakes

This cake was made out of cupcakes. The cupcake holders are shapes and any object can be made by rearranging the shapes. Reminds me of geometry class, but with cake instead of paper. Ten times better, and definitely tastes better.

Marble Turtle Cheesecake

This delicious cheesecake is made of both chocolate and regular cheesecake. Covered with mini chocolate chips, chocolate fudge, caramel, and pecans. Yum!

Clown Cake

I learned to make clowns out of buttercream icing. Adorable and delicious!

Flower Cake

I learned how to make roses!

Children at Play Cake

This was a fun cake to make. I love kids, and this cake is just cute.

Fourth of July Cake

What does a firework cake need...

Why Sparklers of course!!!

Cakes Designed by Amanda

These are a few of the cakes and cookies I have decorated over the two years I have lived in Fort Worth. I have really enjoyed getting to know people through the cakes I have made.

Mini Two-Tiered Cakes

These cakes were requested for Festival of tables. Karen had seen a copy of Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine, which these same cakes. There were eight of these cakes. Each had to be cut out with cookie cutter and knife.

The Winning ATM Cake

For our bake sale we raffled off one cake. The winner could choose an Aggie or a Longhorn cake. Karen Matejka won, and of course chose the Aggies.

Peep's Easter Cake

Dr. Floyd was still talking about this cake when we were promoted from the Newlywed class.

Ruby's Baby Shower Cake

Webkinz Fundraiser

These are just a few of my favorite Webkinz cookies I made. The pics aren't the best, but the cookies were adorable. At 1.50 a piece, I raised over $200 with these cookies. There were about 20 varieties. Allen and I made around 135 cookies.

Cakes Designed by Amanda and Her Friends

The "Clint" Cake

Unfortunately, not a single picture can be found of this cake. But if you will imagine Clint's face as a cake that is exactly what it looked like. We carved the cake and used a glaze to seal the cake, which we covered in Buttercream and then painted the skin and facial features. Gabby, Tiona and I made this for the 2004 Hoe Down. And, we won.

The "Twister" Cake

This Twister Cake was an exact replica of the game we all grew up playing. We even had a working spinner. This cake was a beast to transport. It took up the entire back of my Expedition. Ashlyn, Jessica, Laura, and I were up all night baking the numerous sheet cakes it took to make this a life size Twister game. This cake was for the 2005 Hoe Down. And, we won.

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of all four of us with the cake.

And the night would not have been complete if we hadn't played the game on the cake.

Brittany and Clint's Groom Cake

What wedding is complete without a groom's cake and a little fiasco? When Brittany and I picked up her groom's cake, we were beyond disappointed in the product. Being the loving sister (and Queen) that I am, I called the company back and let them know that I was not satisfied with this "unacceptable" cake. Furthermore, I let them know that I would be coming back for a new blank cake, and to please have icing as well so I could do the cake myself.

I had absolutely no tools at the Church, so I began with limited resources while others frantically looked for the needed materials. Jessica came to my rescue and helped me decorate the cake. We finished with literally less than a minute before the rehearsal was to start.

Jessica and I with the final cake at the wedding.

What a team effort. Brittany and Lisa had made all of the Characters out of Candy Clay before the wedding. And Jessica made the fantastic pebble pathway. And I did whatever I could to make the bride to-be happy.
